Having seen OsbornNash perform several times, I patiently waited
for the duo to release an album. The question was,
how do you capture what they do on stage, in the recording studio?
Liz Osborn has a voice like an Angel, and can easily hold her own
alongside any major National artist, past or present. Bob Campbell-Nash is a virtuoso musician who knows just what voice to use whether it be
singing lead or harmonies with Liz . Somehow they did manage to
translate much of their act onto this wonderful CD.
13 original songs, many of them favorites I remember from shows, recorded between Nashville and New York, with some of the top session players, the album is a sonic treat, with a crisp yet full
production by Bob Campbell-Nash.
Stand out songs for me include, the album opener, “Don’t Stop”
(is it “Don’t Stop”? or “Don’t. Stop!”?). Bob’s sense of humor shines on “Nashville Tan” and his love for music on “This Old Box” and Liz gives me chills with her voice on “If / John’s Song” and “Where To Begin”.
There’s a song for every mood, and not a bad song in the collection.
Put it on, close your eyes and imagine Liz just glowing on-stage like she does, and Bob’s fingers burning up the fret board…and of course the witty banter back and forth, and you’ve got OsbornNash.
These two have the chops to make it Nationally…labels and agents take note! I’m proud to be playing “This Is It” on our 50,000 watt FM station, Kickin’ Country 105.3.
They sound great on the radio, on-stage…and on this CD. Great job guys!
